A Word from Ingrid

“They say that time is a great healer. Time, is also a great teacher. Over the years, I have met many amazing people, and every one of them has taught me something new about the way our bodies work.

Hearing about a general need for improvement in health, or being asked to help with a specific physical requirement, has given me countless opportunities to help people work towards well-being using their own natural healing ability.

I first started practicing Aromatherapy in 1986 and have gone on to qualify in a number of therapies. In the past I have listed all the therapies almost like a menu for clients to choose the treatment they would prefer.  I now prefer to offer my experience as a package that will enable me to combine the best of all I know to help the individual client.

The question I am asked most often is, “What do you do?”

I use my experience, intuition and accrued knowledge to wake up the natural healing ability of the body – reminding it that things need to be done!  ‘I slap the body’s energy around’ – figuratively speaking of course.

When I mention the ‘body’s energy’ I get raised eyebrows and lots of ‘ho yeh’s’. Let me explain ; if you cut your finger – the cut will heal, quickly, and usually without any intervention.  That is the power of the the body’s energy at work.  We do not need to tell our body to fix the cut it does it because it wants to be well – it is a very natural process.

The next question is usually, “So, how does what you do work?”

No one knows quite how or why working with the body’s energy works, it just does.  Having worked in the field for 20 years, the results that my clients and I have seen are all the proof we need - it really does make a difference.

I don’t use my ‘own’ energy to work on yours. I use methods that help your body tap into that miraculous ability to heal itself. The treatments are non invasive and gentle.

My ideal client is one that will allow me to do what I know best – to help the body work as well as it possibly can; within its own parameters.

The body grows hair, heasl broken bones and rejuvenates itself  - does it not then stand to reason that  it can sort out the every day aches and pains we suffer from?  Of course there are things that we need to consult the medical profession about, but I still know that there is a lot that can be achieved when we give the body a nudge in the right direction”.
